Stanford Hall 2014

Posh stately homes always provide an excellent venue for family VW shows, and Stanford Hall is one of the nicest, most chilled out and well attended meets of the season. Being located near to a river, thank goodness this year’s event on May 4th was blessed with dry conditions and lovely early spring sunshine which … Continued

Hot VWs Drag Day

Scorching hot weather for the 11th Hot VWs Drag Day at Irwindale California brought out not only the Bugs but also all sorts of other critters – including ‘Rabbits’ and even the occasional Thing. They’d come out of the woodwork to either soak up the sun or scurry down the quarter-mile drag strip at sub-six … Continued

Import a Dub from Europe!

It seems the world’s woken up to the fact that cars from ‘dry’ US states lack rust – and rocketing prices reflect this. But what about all those lovely, cared for older Veedubs still trundling around across the water in mainland Europe? With the pound strengthening, there’s a  good chance of bagging an EU bargain…

But with the average ‘pensions pot’ only being in the region of £25,000 – we’re thinking he’s missing a trick or two…

Wood you believe it?

Check out this custom Beetle made up of 20,000 pieces of hand-crafted slices of oak, meticulously built on the chassis of a 1975 Bug. With help from his wife it took its creator, 57-year old Momir Bojic, a grueling 18 months to build…

Fire at VW Heritage

It was a bad day at VW Heritage yesterday as over 50 staff were evacuated from our building in Burgess Hill, standing well away while we watched flames engulf our T25 Caravelle, before the Fire Brigade had arrived it had spread to claim 4 others and damage a couple more.

Better in a Jetta? Time will tell!

Allow us to introduce you to the latest member of the VW Heritage fleet. (Technically it’s not, having been lurking in the shadows for a number of years, but the time has now come for the spotlight to shine in its general direction and something is being done about it). It is a 1981, Polish … Continued

Big Bang bonanza!

We’re always up for friendly family VW meets – and Santa Pod’s recent Big Bang event had just the right mix of laid back camping frolics, general partying, displays of cars and drag strip shenanigans – plus a rather unusual ‘human powered’ race along the famous Santa Pod quarter mile. Our Anna Richardson went along … Continued
