London Volksfest

Another Sunday morning; not wanting to get up at all, but I finally dragged  myself out of bed to head up to Volksfest. The Golf was minus its battery as it had been flat the day before, so a quick swap over was needed first before we could depart.
After the 2 hours drive we got up there about 10, and headed to the show and shine. With an hour washing the car, getting it clean again, and some impromptu fixing using some number pate sticker pads to hold my side trim back on, after it had fallen off at GTI international (I had been too lazy to fix it properly before) both the car and I were ready for the day ahead!
I was taking pics for Ultra VW; so had a quick chat with them and then off around to do some work and watch some sprinting action.  Alongside the usual Aircooled and Watercooled cars running there were a few bike going up the strip too both standard and race prepped running some great times. Being a Biker myself this made the show even better for me!

Was good to see such a great mix of cars although I do think the Aircooled guys out weighed us watercooled fanatics. We cruised back with Chris and his new Beetle hence a few cheeky rolling shots 😉

Another show down seems like the year and shows are flying by, now roll on Sussex VW  Owners club show this weekend!!
