If you need a weekend camper fix, somewhere to kip overnight at a festival – or simply want to try before you buy, South East Camper Hire should be able to help. With a couple of fully kitted out T25s in their fleet they’ve made the camper dream come true for many a happy customer over the years…
David Collumbell is boss of the small Crowborough-based family run business which hires out T25 Auto Sleeper campers for holidays, short breaks, festivals or try before you buy excursions, and it’s an idea that’s gone down a treat with VW fans and would-be camper owners across the country. “Customers have in the past visited every corner of England, Scotland and Wales and have been to most of the big festivals and events including Glastonbury, the V Festival, Isle of Wight, the Silverstone British Grand Prix and many more. One customer covered a staggering 1000 miles traveling across the north of Scotland on one trip.”
Being based on the south coast is handy considering the New Forest has proved to be the most popular place to go for those with a non-specific destination for their T25 camper experience. People can hire vans for longer trips, weekends and even fast and furious overnight stopovers, with David eager to accommodate people’s individual needs.
But as David confirms, being able to hire out a T25 also makes sense for those thinking of buying a classic VW camper. “It’s good because people can find out whether the T25 fits their requirements over something like an earlier Bay window bus or T4 and it also gives them a chance to decide whether they prefer a high top or elevating roof.”
Being a motor mechanic by trade, with help from us on the spares front the campers are always kept in tip-top condition. “When people pick them up, they’re fitted out and all ready to go. We’ve even got information about where to stay and recommendations on the best campsites, so it’s all very easy.”
