Cruising in the name of…

After a small dabble in “Santa Cruising” last year we were pleasantly surprised with the interest in this year’s event prior to it happening.

The morning of the event came, the rain that was forecast stayed away and VW Heritage played host to over 100 wannabe Santa’s with 70 plus cars to take them the 30 miles or so to the Chestnut Tree House, near Arundel in Sussex.

Leaving from Burgess Hill in 3 smaller groups helped keep chaos to a minimum and saw the faster vehicles catch the camper vans who left first, to arrive pretty much in one long line!

The Chestnut Tree House were over the moon with the turnout, and the staff were on hand to bring a few of the children staying over the weekend out, to look round the cars and take in the sea of red suits that flooded the grounds.

The event, held on Sunday 4th December has raised over £500 so far with further donations being added by friends and family in the coming weeks.

If you would like to donate, please visit our Just Giving page  http://www.justgiving.com/vw-heritage and again, a huge thanks to everyone who took part and made it such a great day!
