If there were biscuits being handed out for “horrid nights to go camping” GTI International would be in the running for at least one or two for the weather on offer that Friday night. Driving up later afternoon we encountered rain and it lasted all night – not fun when you’re putting up tents and gazebos’, top marks to all those who did camp that night, you’re hardcore!

Fortunately Saturday was a little brighter, and although the show was a bit short on visitors we had a productive enough day. Myself, well I popped out at about half 2 to go to a wedding. Yep, a wedding – back in Sussex. James V was getting married that day, and I had an invite to the reception – off I went!

4 hours later i called home to pick up the other half and a grab a spot of food, we made the wedding for 8pm and enjoyed the merriment, congratulations to James and Kim. We drove home for midnight, then were up and out for 7am, bound for Leicester! 3 and a bit hours, and Inters was back on.

Sunday was a beauty of a day – boiling hot, and the show and shine area was nice and full, just how it should be. We were busy from the word go, and lucky enough to have Facebook competition winner, Faye’s Mk1 on our stand too.

It was almost too hot, and sadly only got to hear those ragging their cars up the strip – I gather a cetain white Mk1 was on top form. A twenty minute stroll with a camera captured my mainly old skool highlights in the show and shine, then back to work!

Had another great show, shame about the rain but it can’t be helped. See you next year!
