With our regular Blogger Andy sunning it up in Devon over the past few days I thought I’d step up and keep you regulars interested with some VW related news and what better way than to update my Beetle build. As you probably know I’ve been working on this car since February this year and rather stupidly thought I might be driving it to the Volksworld show!! Hmmm, as many people that fix up old cars probably know, unfortunately money and time didn’t allow this to happen…..so the project continued!
Since the last update the Beetle has been fitted with a 4 inch narrowed and lowered beam, the rear suspension has been lowered thanks to a one spline drop (didn’t want to get silly with the ride height…..yet) the wiring has been 95% finished thanks to VW Heritage’s wiring expert James T from the sales department working his magic on a hot Saturday afternoon.
Not alot to do now, bit more wiring, exhaust, try and get it running, gearbox oil, couple of small bits of welding, shocks, tie-rods, full interi……oh dear…..
Here are some pics for you to enjoy!
