Here we have an interesting story of a customers 1966 Double Door RHD Split Panel Van.

Simon tells us

“…I do carpentry and building works…..its great for getting noticed but really hard to work out of……we now use an old P reg VW Transporter van for every day use…its much easier to work from, but less fun.

I checked out your site……………….we had a new remtec 1641 engine last year, supplied and fitted by Hayden who runs Panelkraft at Letchworth Herts…His supplier is VW Heritage

The van did have a single port 1500 engine when I bought it.”

Let’s hope the Van is only retired from the building trade as this great van certainly has many more fun filled miles left in it. Keep up the good work!!
